Dogs make the best smoking buddies…

I’m one of those guys who will skip a meal or two in order to purchase a cigar I just read about in Cigar aficionado. Life to me is just the passage of time between cigars and meals and taking the dogs outside to potty. I have two German Shepherd‘s that are not only my best friends there my best smoking buddies.

I’m lucky enough to have a smoking shed in my backyard that I have modified with heat and air-conditioning and I’ve loaded it up with neon beer signs and cigar posters and signage pretty much from floor to literally on the ceiling, it’s my man cave that rarely has visitors in- except for my dogs. Bose he’s my male German Shepherd and Rhooda the newest edition is still a big puppy and is way too rambunctious. Damn Covid. I have a motorized recliner in there, and they each have an Italian leather easy chair so we all sit in out chairs and watch TV together.

As I go thru my very accomplished ritual of cutting and carefully toasting, and slowly and methodically lighting up one of the nights cigars. My dogs are security dogs, so I don’t mind when they bark, but have you ever noticed how many pets are on the average tv commercial? It’s nearly every every damn one, and they bark when there are cats, dogs, animations, owls -that damn Geico gecko commercial. Keeps me awake if nothing else, I guess. I have a good and powerful smoke removal system so my dogs aren’t breathing in any of my second hand cigar smoke, that is unless Rhooda’s coming in too give daddy a big wet sloppy German Sheppard kiss as she enjoys doing. A puff of smoke in her direction gets her back in her chair.
